What Is Education Student Accounts Plus (ESA+)?
North Carolina's ESA+ is designed for K-12 students with documented disabilities. Funds are spent exclusively through the ClassWallet Marketplace, and every tutor, therapist, or vendor must be registered with NCSEAA (SEAA) to accept payments.
What Can ESA+ Funds Cover?
- Tutoring in math, science, English/language arts, social studies, or foreign languages
- Speech, occupational, and other educational therapies
- Private school tuition and fees
- Curricular materials and educational technology
- Standardized and AP/college entrance testing fees
How to Apply
New enrollment availability changes year to year — verify directly.
Continue documentation of disability every three years as required.
Find and pay tutors registered to accept ESA+ funds via ClassWallet.
