What Is Education Student Accounts Plus (ESA+)?

North Carolina's ESA+ is designed for K-12 students with documented disabilities. Funds are spent exclusively through the ClassWallet Marketplace, and every tutor, therapist, or vendor must be registered with NCSEAA (SEAA) to accept payments.

Currently closed to new students: As of this writing, ESA+ is not accepting new-student applications for the 2026–27 school year — only renewing families are being processed. Check the NCSEAA site directly for the latest status before planning around this program.
